Gulf Coast Relief - Still a Long Way to Go
This web site tells the story of the continuing relief work being done along the Gulf
Coast since hurricanes Katrina and Rita by many, many volunteers that Pastor Garry Jones (at right) has been coordinating through this outreach of ReaLife Ministries of Louisiana, Inc. The May 2007 Report (with proposed budget) describes the current needs and opportunities best.
Work has been completed on a long list of projects to help the people whose lives were devastated by the twin hurricanes. After more than a year's work, there remains an incredible amount yet to do. Hence this outreach will keep on doing what we can as long as we can. Our 2006 Annual Report with a Financial Report will fill you in on all the details of what has been done and spent so far.
We urge all the many fine people from the churches all over the country who have been supporting this effort with both their personal time and with urgently needed funds and supplies to visit this web frequently. A main purpose here is to be a focal point for volunteers to keep up with the work at hand and where they may be of particular service.
ReaLife Ministries of Louisiana, Inc. has been involved in a number of works in this region, and that story is told at our sister-site, www.realifeministriesla.org. This relief effort was added after the disaster and given its own special name, "Operation Feed My Sheep."
